You could say that a rainy New Year washes everything clean and fresh. That would be a positive approach.
Best thing to do is to go down to the studio and make books. Here's a book cover I managed to eke out of a small sample of double plain weave. I love this cloth, but there was barely enough for a book cover. I like to leave an inch of margin to turn under; this is barely one half inch. I'm determined to make it work.
While the glue was drying, I sewed the signatures on tapes. Have I ever mentioned that I love this kind of mindless, repetitive work?
A self portrait to mark a new year seemed like a good idea. I tried one of those bathroom mirror shots. Bad idea. It was much too accurate. Where did all those wrinkles come from? Photoshop to the rescue. This is the colored pencil filter. How do they figure these things out? Brilliant.
