In Roz's bookbinding class, I've gotten to the part where I'm assembling and gluing the components of the spine. In books (and in people) this is a critical place. Best to get it right, as there will be no restorative yoga for by book's spine, as far as I know.
There's a little trough cut in the front cover for insertion of artwork after the boards are covered with bookcloth. The bookcloth comes later. I'm taking a few days' break now.
In the driveway, the gardenias have started blooming. Bruce says that soon the whole side of the house will smell like the Woolworth's perfume counter.
