Spotted in the checkout line today--imagine, a whole cookbook devoted to the 13x9 inch baking pan:
And downstairs in the studio, I continue with my homework for the bookmaking class. The signatures are sewn onto linen tapes, and I had to weight the book block after the spine was glued. I found the perfect weight: a leftover part from the cloth storage system of a formerly-owned dobby loom! The book in progress is the lowest item in this stack.
After the glue dried, I hammered the spine into a rounded shape (I won't show you the hammer; y'all know what that looks like), then weighted the book again and glued some mull (stiffened cheesecloth) onto the spine.
And when that dried, I glued on the headbands, a first for me. A bit messy with the glue here. Live and learn.
