I'm not a big fan of Louet's built-in raddle, although I like everything else about their looms. In the raddle department, Schacht is my favorite. So when I noticed that the Schacht raddle almost fits on the back beam of my Louet Megado, the wheels started turning.
The support blocks of the raddle are a fraction too small for the back beam of the Louet, but a friend with woodworking tools enlarged the u-shaped opening of the blocks to fit, and now I have the best of both worlds (Thanks, Alan). I beamed a new warp today., Yes, I will remember to flip the warp the other way around the back beam before I start threading. I'm not about to repeat that particular mistake.
Here's the redbud tree next to my driveway (in the background is an oak). Nothing I can say will improve on its gorgeousness.
