  • Weave Brocade On Your Rigid Heddle Loom
    Acquire new rigid heddle skills in a class for intermediate rigid heddle weavers or intrepid beginners. We will focus on indirect warping, the creation and use of string heddles, and the pickup stick, while learning to weave brocade motifs in supplementary wefts on a plain weave ground. Beginning a Triptych

The TC-1 is still beamed with the (seemingly) endless 5-color warp, so there is no chance that the width of current projects will change from the present 14" anytime soon. If ever.

For a while now I've been wanting to get away from this narrow format by weaving a project in three panels, to be displayed side by side. Choice of image is critical, as each panel should be complete in itself as well as part of the whole. I'm thinking of using this image:

And interpreting it in 5 colors and 3 panels like this:

The first step will be to weave a small sample blanket with the proposed yarns and weaves.
