Pink Towel and AGNES

Another crepe dishtowel. On the left you can see the granite hem (same weave used for selvedges), and on the right the 16-shaft crepe. This one will be lacy when it's washed.

And now a shocker, although I shouldn't be shocked. It makes perfect sense. Have you heard about AGNES? I read about her in the May issue of Dwell magazine. MIT's AgeLab has designed a suit (AGNES is an acronym for Age Gain Now Empathy System). Wearing the suit enables a researcher to experience the challenges of an aging population. Braces inside the garment retrict movement and reach, colored glasses inhibit sight, and earplugs muffle sounds. Calibrated to simulate the mobility, vision, dexterity and flexibility of a 75-year-old.
