It was unusually cool and crisp this morning, a perfect time for an early walk. I threw the first load of laundry in the machine and hit the road. Plenty of dog walkers out, but otherwise not much activity. I did see a neighbor practising his golf swing in the vacant lot next to the Lutheran church:
Lots of good shadows to collect:
I have located my yellow hat, which had gone missing for too long. I was so happy to see it! Here it is in my shadow. You'll have to imagine the yellow.
Back home, putting the laundry in the dryer, I couldn't resist taking this picture (doesn't everyone take a camera into the laundry room?). The green and white thing is a doubleweave placement, over 25 years old, still in use and in good shape. The yellow shapes are the twill dishtowels Bruce wove.
Now down into the studio, to plan my next warp. Still determined to make a dent in the stash. I'd like to tackle this collection of whites and off-whites, all different sizes. There will be so much texture variation that I think plain weave will be the only possibility. Enough to make a blouse. I think a blouse of these cottons would be divine to wear in the summer. Get busy.
