At last the heat has broken. My morning walk was less of a chore, almost pleasant. No new drama in the streets, but plenty of conversation from this guy and his friends:
My favorite magnolia tree had another blossom, this one well hidden from the street. The owners, if they were watching, must have wondered why this woman was prowling among the branches in their front yard, mobile phone in hand. They've never called the police. Yet.
Home to make the breakfast coffee.
Then there was this amazing caption paired with a photo on the front page of The Greenville News:
Doctors at St. Francis Hospital demonstrate DaVinci, a surgical robot used for prostrate surgery.
It boggles the mind, especially as prostrate is defined as lying stretched out on the ground with one's face downward. Nosir, can't figure that one out.
