End of warp, that is. I haven't written much about dobby affairs recently. No drama in a sweetly running loom. That's a good thing. But for the life of me, I can't remember putting on such a long warp! I generally warp in increments of three yards, because that's the way the math of my warping wheel works out. I had thought this was a six yard warp, but after five+ yards built up on the cloth storage beam, I realized my record-keeping had been faulty. Maybe it was a nine yard warp. So I kept on weaving on this pink cotton crepe fabric. Might as well use up the warp, I figured. Make long sleeves on the blouse rather than short sleeves.
Then the cloth tally came to ten+ yards, and it was clear that this was a twelve yard warp. What a relief to peer under the sectional warp beam and see the end-of-warp knots! I was beginning to worry that it might have been a fifteen yard warp! Bad weaver!! Must keep better records!!!
