Complex Weavers Seminars has begun with a very upbeat keynote address by Patrice George and the opening of the Glamor, Glitter, Glitz exhibition, juried by Patrice along with Sandra Rude and Bhakti Ziek.
Shown below is one of the works in the show, a collaboration entitled Polarity, by Barbara Walker and myself. It is a pair of blank journals, one with black pages and one with white; the covers are handwoven dobby fabrics, one black on white and the other the reverse; and the wrapper bands are Barbara's ply-split braiding, echoing the circular motif of my fabric.
