Yesterday a concert by the one and only Pan Harmonia, formerly Keowee Chamber Music:
Above are pictured Barbara Weiss on harpsichord (sorry, Barbara, but your music stand hides your expressive face), Byron Hedgepeth on percussion, Rosalind Buda on bassoon, and director Kate Steinbeck on flute. I've written about these wonderful musicians before, and they are a must-see.
The delicious combinations of instruments blending in perfect "harmonia" are gorgeous. Not pictured here is the vibraphone, which Byron plays in some of the pieces, and the blending is also amazing. I told Kate and Rosalind that when they play together it sounds as if they are joined at the hip. This group must be heard to be believed.
