Just playin' around with some 10-shaft simulations for the straight threading on my 40-shaft dobby loom. Here are some networked satins for 10 shafts which could be woven equally well on 40 shafts. Why? Why not! The pattern repeats would be smaller than networked satin on 40 shafts, for one thing. Sometimes smaller is better.
Now here's an amazing discovery, just for weaving software nerds. Everyone else please go away. In ProWeave for Mac, at single-pixel scale, if you copy a draft (which has been made into an object), you can paste it directly into a new pixeLoom file as if you had copied it directly from Photoshop, and it becomes a new draft complete with appropriate threading. I'm flabbergasted. Life is good.
