The idea here was to explore the appearance of the lampas cloth when using 5 different systems of twill ties (four straight 1/3 right twills, each with a different starting point, and a left straight 1/3 twill). Three shuttles used here, BTW. This is tied lampas, where the two layers are not true double weave. At some point I got tired and flubbed the shuttle rotation in the fourth sample (counting up from the very bottom one barely visible around the breast beam). Instead of a brown square in the center, there is a grey square. Ho hum. At least the information about the ties is correct. I promise that at some point there will be proper scans of a these.
