Just to try out the idea, and because this loom is currently not in use and has a warp on it, I wove a few inches of brocade with two widely spaced satin-based brocade wefts on a plain weave base.
I like the transparency effect of the white weft.
And then for a change of scenery, I spent some time on this never-ending dobby warp, interleaved networked thingies, but it didn't go well.
My copy of an exhibition catalog featuring Ethel Stein, Weaver, just arrived via the UPS truck at my front door, so I think I'll quit for the day, make a cup of tea, and enjoy the book.
