This morning I took a ride down the street to the Fine Arts Center to see an exhibition of tapestries by Susan Iverson. What an astounding group of variations on the word "no!" All were meticulously woven and displayed a great variety of materials and arrangements of space. Definitely worth many repeat visits.
Back in my own space, I continue to weave lampas variations with handspun wool. Most of these new pieces will become book covers. They're fun to weave because they're small, and I can explore many design variations in a short time.
This next one gave me a bit of a surprise. The design areas are much smaller than previous versions, and that makes the cloth weave at fewer picks per inch. Very different effect.
