On New Years Eve afternoon I worked on the endless blanket. I'm sewing the four strips together with a 3-step stitch, and find myself buried in blanket. While sewing, I listened to/watched a 1977 telecast of Luciano Pavarotti and Renata Scotto in La Boheme at the Metropolitan Opera. The opera was so engaging that I found the sewing slowed to a crawl and then stopped. So I still have one more seam to sew. Maybe today. If I can finish the project, that will augur a good start to the year.
Another good start was a walk around the lake this morning. The weather is unseasonably warm, and the sun peeped in and out. Here it is in one of the "outs."
And talking of signs and omens, here's an especially good one. This fellow was just standing on the shore as if waiting for me. I got up really close and we had a good chat.
