I showed you this Park Weave example a few days ago, and thought I'd try it with another color/yarn/fiber combination. It had more risers than sinkers, though, so I tried weaving it upside down––that is, with the liftplan inverted––so that I had fewer levers to push.
I don't have any pictures of the upside down version, but let me tell you: even though the weaving was easier upside down, the visual experience while weaving was more interesting in the rightside up version.
So I embarked on another block arrangement, also rightside up (some of the picks lift 7 of the 8 shafts!). The pattern weft this time is 3/2 perle cotton.
I am attempting to keep the diagonals at about 45° and I believe it's pretty close.
Recently finished reading Julie Otsuka's The Swimmers (loved it) and Emily St. John Mandel's Last Night in Montreal (kind of a mess).
