Last night there was a full moon.
This morning the sky was overcast and the air was heavy with the scent of honeysuckle. It was almost oppressive.
Down at the lake, everyone was just hanging out.
In the forest, the woodsmen have taken down this specimen. Apparently its time had come.
Sometimes it's hard to figure out the way forward.
Back in the studio, a new warp has been tied onto the old. Still the Conestoga pattern.
With some coaxing, the knots have all gone through the reed & heddles. A little bit of weight helps the work along.
Behind the heddles all is looking good.
And in front of the loom, weaving is already underway. I quickly tired of the Conestoga treadling, so I tried another overshot pattern for the weft. It's a little wonky, but I'm liking it. Pattern weft is wool and lotus fiber from Hilltop Cloud, handspun by me, and tabby is a very fine silk noil of unknown provenance.
